The Ministry of Legal Affairs participated in the national campaign for the Bahraini Genome Program, in coordination with the Ministry of Health, where a team from the National Genome Center was present at the Ministry’s headquarters, and the Ministry’s employees took the initiative to conduct the necessary tests.


The Ministry of Legal Affairs confirmed that its participation in this national campaign comes within the framework of its support for national initiatives and efforts, especially related to enhancing the quality of health care provided, of which the Bahraini Genome Program is one of the most prominent due to its goals aimed at securing better life opportunities for current and future generations by providing a DNA database. In the Kingdom of Bahrain.


The Ministry also continued that the support of the Ministry’s members for this campaign will contribute to developing the outcomes of this specific program by enhancing the health of the participants, the health of their families, and the Bahraini community in general. The Ministry expressed its thanks and appreciation to the Ministry of Health for this initiative, and for the efforts of the National Genome Center team in organizing this campaign to raise the quality of Health services and disease prevention using the latest innovative scientific methods.


It is noteworthy that the National Genome Campaign is continuing, and seeks to collect 50,000 Bahraini genome samples by the end of the year 2024 AD. Citizens wishing to participate in this campaign must visit one of the primary health care centers they are registered with, as participation is open to all citizens who are 21 years of age or older ( Healthy or sick), and for those under 21 years of age, the approval of the guardian, guardian or guardian is required.
