Law No. (7) of 2022 concerning the Environment
The law aims to protect the environment and natural resources, prevent and combat pollution and environmental degradation, and ensure sustainable development in the Kingdom.
The law aims to protect the environment and natural resources, prevent and combat pollution and environmental degradation, and ensure sustainable development in the Kingdom. It regulates the powers and responsibilities of the Supreme Council for the Environment and the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Development. It mandates an environmental impact assessment before licensing any project and establishes regulations for addressing environmental disasters and emergencies, as well as for managing hazardous materials and waste.
